POST 5: My Future Job

Since I was a kid I have enjoyed drawing, painting and creating images for stories I heard about or dreams I had, so editorial illustration has drawn my attention for a while now. I would love giving life to some white pages with curious characters and beautiful ornaments that accompany and sustain the words from a novel or a tale. But besides that there are a lot of other things that I would like to work in, probably because I have plenty of other interests that I want to study and learn from, such as the history of music, some things about science (such as natural phenomena or evolution), history in general or even astrology. But I believe that all the things that I mentioned are just interests that I want to know and interpret through art to return to the world from my own perspective and aesthetic. So yeah, illustration sounds like the perfect way to achieve that, and it is an occupation that also resonates in me in regarding my habits, because it is principally an indoor job, but takes a lot from the outside world as inspiration, but also it doesn’t require to be in an office, that I don’t see myself working in. Although I'm not quite sure what I want to work in yet, I know whatever it is, it has to be related to art, that's why I'm studying a major in visual arts.
